Hello, I'm State Representative Richard Hammel.  Instilling a love for reading in our children while they're young will help pave their way to academic success. The best way to do that is to read to them. When you read to your children, you'll help them become lifelong learners.  Take a 30 minute break from you day, and spend quality time with your children.  Sit down and read with them.  Through books, you and your child can explore the world together – without even leaving your living room.  Celebrate "March is Reading Month" with your kids and start a new family tradition of reading together.
